Leo Tire & Wheel began in 1986, right in the heart of Leo, IN. Tim Myers, the founder, started his tire shop in the center suite where Subway stands today. His reputation for delivering unbeatable deals and fast service quickly made him a local legend.
Tim wasn’t just known for his great prices – he was known for his no-nonsense, straight-shooting style. Some folks even called him the “Tire Nazi,” a playful nod to Seinfeld’s iconic Soup Nazi. Tim embraced the nickname, and his loyal customers knew that behind his gruff exterior was a caring guy who never forgot those who stood by him when he was just getting started.
In September 2023, Tim retired, and the original building was sold and repurposed. But the spirit of Leo Tire & Wheel lives on. We moved just 2.3 miles south on Leo Road to 12531 Leo Rd, Fort Wayne, IN – right next to Metea Park – where we’re still committed to providing down-to-earth service and great deals without the fancy glass buildings or overpriced lobbies.
